Hello, I’m Dr. Lew! I grew up in the greater Los Angeles area, so caring for families in the San Gabriel Valley feels like coming home. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychobiology from UCLA, then headed north to the UC Berkeley School of Optometry, where I received my Doctor of Optometry degree and was inducted into the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society.
My clinical training took me from Stanford’s Byers Eye Institute to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and West Oakland Health Center, and it was along the way that I discovered my passion for children’s eye care. I went on to complete a residency in Pediatric Optometry and Vision Therapy at Marshall B. Ketchum University in Anaheim.
I’m a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and an active member of the American Optometric Association, California Optometric Association, and San Gabriel Valley Optometric Society. I care for patients of all ages, with a special focus on children: routine pediatric eye exams, failed vision screenings, myopia control therapy, binocular vision evaluations, and amblyopia treatment. I also enjoy caring for adults, from first-time glasses wearers to longtime contact lens users, and I love teaching families how to protect their vision and overall eye health for years to come.
Over the years, I’ve had the chance to practice in a wide range of eye care settings across Sunnyvale, Palo Alto, and Tucson: primary care in a private group practice, clinical research at an academic university, and pediatric care within an ophthalmology group. I conducted clinical eye research at Stanford and with the Pediatric Eye Disease Investigator Group, studying how children’s vision develops and how to treat it when it doesn’t. Each setting taught me something different, from the pace of a busy primary care schedule to the precision of research to the teamwork of co-managing complex pediatric cases.
Now I’m excited to bring all of it home to Southern California, where I can finally put down roots and provide care for my local community. I live nearby with my husband, our daughter, who joined our family in 2026, and our Havanese poodle, Katsu. Outside the office, you’ll find me baking in the kitchen, taking a pilates or sculpt class, tackling my next craft or quilt project, or spending quality time with my growing family.
